I prefer non-toxic cleaners in my home when it comes to hygiene and home cleaning.
It’s good for families as well as those suffering from skin allergies.
Here’s an all-purpose cleaner that’s easy to make and you can use ingredients that you already have.
If you don’t these ingredients on hand, it’s really cheap to buy or to include in your next grocery run.
Why make an allergen-free DIY all-purpose cleaner?
- DIY cleaners are much less expensive because you can make the ingredients you already have in your kitchen
- Non-toxic especially when you have kids around
- Some toxic ingredients in certain store-bought solutions contain ingredients that are harmful to the skin, especially those with Eczema or contact Dermatitis
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup White wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp Bicarbonate Soda (Baking soda)
- 3 cups of Still Water – preferably use distilled or purified water
- 1/2 Lemon – Juice the lemon, freshly squeezed is better
- 4-5 drops Tea Tree oil – this is optional; you can use an alternative oil such as Lemon oil, Lavender oil, Orange oil, or Eucalyptus oil.
Method
- Use a clean spray bottle. Pour all the ingredients into the bottle and shake well to combine.
- Add drops of essential oil. Shake to mix well.
- Spray onto any surface. Spray, scrub, and then wipe with a clean, damp microfibre cloth.
How to store your natural, all-purpose cleaner
Make sure you store it in a cool, dry place. You’ll need to shake well before every use after it has been standing for a while.
