How to use this Typescale cheat sheet

1. Pick a point size – if you’re starting with body copy, pick the smallest size and work your way up. Choose one or two sizes up for the subheading, then another sizes (or more) up for the headline. The headline will always be the largest point size.
2. Choose any size in a stack – the visual hierarchy (optical balance) will always be perfect! It’s mathematically calculated and done for you.

3. Ensure that you always pick a stack – do not cross reference point sizes between different stacks. Eg. If your body copy needs to be 7pt, then choose that stack first. Then work within that upward. Similarly, you can start at the top, with a headline, and work your way down to the body copy size, which would always be smallest.
